On June 14, I got a call from Mom & Dad's neighbor telling me Dad was in the hospital with a possible heart attack. I couldn't get to South Carolina until June 16 and was worried about Mom staying by herself. Silly me!

Mom's neighbors (Bob & Liz Jones and Susan Park along with Dr Barbara Brake, took over. They got Dad to the hospital, watched Mom, and kept me informed about what was happening. Bob picked us up at the airport at 1 AM and brought us to the house. Ever the Southern Gentleman, he even had a cold six pack on ice.

Two days later, Mom went in with breathing problems

Needless to say, I was overwhelmed by everyone's generosity, and had to come up with some way to say.........

 Thank You!

Where do you find apple wood in SC?

Head towards Georgia until you find a friendly orchard owner. If you ever get to Long Creek......

Prime Rib, a little apple smoke, a little hickory, and fresh corn

Potatoes, squash, zucchini. mushrooms, onions........

Bet these folks never had smoked beer before!  I told 'em we do it all the time in Indiana

(L-R) Dr Brake, Bob (world champion bottle cap flipper)  & Liz. Apparently, the Parks were out of town so we didn't get to thank them.

Mom is still in the hospital so she'll have to settle for left-overs
